More Projects Funded and Built

Solar and storage developers, investors, and lenders risk losing projects when they bog down during financing. Banking on Solar is the podcast community where energy transition project financing stakeholders share lessons learned so that more projects get built.

The solar industry is poised for long-term growth, but there are bottlenecks. We address two of these bottlenecks on this podcast:

  1. More investors and lenders need to be comfortable with solar in its variety of flavors, so they choose to put their capital to work in solar rather than stay on the sideline or settle for opportunities where they have more experience
  2. More developers presenting high-quality projects for both renewable energy development and project financing so that investors and lenders can say yes

If you are a renewable energy developer, investor, lender, attorney, or consultant responsible for some aspect of project finance - you’re in the right place.

We’ll cover a range of up-to-date topics from the perspective of things we’ve seen go right and things that have gone bad on the way to getting projects funded and built.

If you have a guest idea for someone you’d like to see on the show, or if you have something to share with this group, leave a voice message here on the website (tab to the right) or send me a note at bart@bankingonsolar.media. You can also find me on LinkedIn.

Now is the time to be banking on solar. There is money to be made and the planet to save.

Banking on Solar Host

What do you call someone with a graduate degree in mechanical engineering, 13 years of experience advising businesses on marketing strategy, and a previous software startup founder? Confused? Let's try Energized.

I created Banking on Solar podcast because I’m one of those people starting as an outsider in renewable energy development and working on moving to insider status. We’ll learn together with the interview guests. My goal for the podcast is to be a resource for professionals new to the solar industry so they get up to speed quickly on financing solar projects. It’s also a resource for experienced professionals seeking to tap into an increasing network of project financing stakeholders across the US and the world.
